Enter a world of chaos and fright
of eternal darkness and forever night

A world born in the image of its mad God creator
Banishing the sun, loom now its elegant neighbor

The newfangled dark moonlight cast upon the land
and provided the darkness that created the damned

I, The Shadows pray not tell thee,
of their terrors and corpses piled upon me

When deep from within my essence, a hero was born
With nothing bar name, yet now something more.

Had he not hid within me, I may have not seen him
the young daring boy had slain Envy, The Demon

Our Hero was Jack, the seemingly forgotten
the 23rd heir to the throne, of the Kings many begotten

A Hero of Knightmare he was proclaimed to be
however not all were amused at what they did see

There was fun to be had for my manic God master
an opportunity for excitement and ghoulish disaster

My Harlequin King sat back and pondered a great deal
he had tested young heroes with monsters and steel

He’d end them himself yet their was little reason
Not when he commanded such monstrous demons

Though this time through his own darkly depraved creativity
He recalled the girl, and the grave as he vanished within me

Appearing now where she had been laid to rest
He raised up her bones and wrapped them in flesh

Breathing his dark seed of life into this pale beauty
She would be as his weapon, bound to her duty

So lend me your ears as I play on your fears
Allow me to sing and pull your heart strings
May my hollow void voice leave you no choice
But to regale with delight as I now do recite
A beautiful tale, that may leave you quite pale
Of doomed first kisses and haunted last wishes
Forever my chore to ensure I never do bore
As I tell thee tonight of this “hero’s” dark plight

Where no one could win, with their decadent sin
For there is no true glory in my most favorite story
